We actually thought we could visit the Palace en route but we were too early. It wouldn't be open for an hour yet. So we just went to gate and took some pictures.
The weather was simply perfect at the time. The sun had yet to impose it intense heat. We just gaped in awe of the structure before us and decided that we'd check out the Palace on our way back from Ooty.
