First Singalorean Gathering of 2007

I've often wondered if it was only Singaporeans who were continuously obsessed with food or were people around the world the same. We could be having a meal and the conversation would be where the best food could be found.

Kah Ming hosted the first Singalorean gathering this year. It was kinda like his housewarming i.e. he gets to do all the work while we enjoy ourselves. Why? Just like that. (For the uninitiated, that's Indian speak.) Margaret chipped in with sayur lodeh and Raymond and Sam presented us with their not quite virgin but rather successful attempt at making char siew.

With half the group football mad, it was inevitable that that's how the evening would end, with all in front of the telly, cheering on Manchester United. It was just as well that Solskjaer scored the winning goal in stoppage time, ending our evening on a high note.
