Last Night Out

... Thomas' that is. We wanted to go somewhere we haven't been to in the last couple of weeks. Eventually settled on Sunny's for dinner.

Food is always good there, even though Thomas and Craig had some stomach upset when Sunny's first shifted to these premises. And Geena just had a bout last week. She blamed it on the calamari. So we had to order the same. And of course Ternasser had her famous episode with Arjun Sajnani.

Otherwise, I've always loved the ambience of the place, especially in the day, where the glass frontage allows so much light into the place.

When we arrived at 7.40pm, the restaurant was about a third full. Almost every table that was occupied was occupied by Caucasians. Of course, Indians never eat dinner so early.

We shared a Ceasar and a Greek salad and of course the fried calamari. I had my usual whole roasted seabass. Ternasser and Sharon had the seabass Asian style. Thomas has the same thing he always has at Sunny's, the seafood bouillabaisse. JT had the pork chop. I can't recall what HL had even though he was seated right across from me.

Desserts were decent and the coffee was good. We decided to adjourn.

But first, a detour to JT's. He and Ternasser had gone to Metro earlier to pick up some food. Ternasser had very sweetly offered to cook for us on Thursday night before Thomas catches his flight home. They had to keep the stuff in the fridge as we had decided to adjourn to another bar where none of them had been to.

We walked up Lavelle Road to Ragaalis Hotel (previous known as the Rama Hotel), which houses Med 9. I went there the night it opened and had not been back since. Never had the inclination to do so, even though Tony (who makes everyone's favourite Crystal Seven) used to be there.

We had the place to ourselves, even though it was a Wednesday night. We had our usual first round of drinks and started talking rubbish. JT claimed that the women from the North East had short legs because they walked too much... you get the drift. Ternasser has a flaming Lamborghini which provided some entertainment too. Some of us ordered another round and Batman, Wonder Woman & Wonder Man commenced. This particular drinking game is always good for laugh, especially if you've all had a few. It was then time to call it a night.

Lovely weather for walking (best thing about Bangalore). We accompanied Sharon back to her apartment and then trooped down to Vittal Mallya Road where we went our separate ways.

Can't enlarge the photo to get a closer look but the second one - is the lady (lower right) smoking or drinking something that's flaming? Whatever it is, looks like it could burn the house down
