Chez Ternasser

She did it. Thomas said, "Everything is ho mei."

Ternasser has taken the day off work due to a headache. Fortunately that did not put her off the cooking for Thomas. She had started boiling the soup through the night. Stopped at 3am and resumed in the morning.

As Thomas had to be at the airport by 9.30 pm, it was decided that dinner had to be served promptly at 7 pm. No such luck.

HL apparently now has a reputation of being a slow poke. We had to remind him several times to leave work early so as make it on time, especially since he intended to go home first for a shower. Thomas was still have arguments with his landlord's representative at 5.45 pm and to what else needs to be done for the handover of his apartment. Prior to that, his packers had actually arrived several hours later than the appointed time; finishing late in the afternoon. He declared that he'd had the most tiring day of his life.

However, we did manage to serve dinner at 7.30 pm. TC the chef had outdone herself. The food was very very good and the portion was just right. She had finally learnt that she wasn't feeding an entire army every time she had to cook for us. Soup was excellent, well worth the hours spent boiling it. Only concern was whether it was supposed to be good for the yin or the yang. The pork was great for all of us, but JT and Thomas expectedly remarked that the meat could have been fatter. The curry was the way we would have it at home, nice and lemak and spicy.

Conclusion? You can definitely do it again. Thank you.

Thomas left for the airport at a quarter past nine, marking the end of another chapter for us Singaloreans.
