Mongolian Father & Son
A nomadic family we visited on our recent trek in Western Mongolia. Father and son were sat just inside the ger by the doorway. The light was perfect but I had to fiddle with my camera for a bit. They were so patient and the gentle smiles never left their faces.
We are sending these pictures to them but their nomadic way of living means that they sometimes get their post only a year later...

That's a very interesting pic. Father had a "I've had a rough day and you want to take a photo of us? Well, ok...but make it quick" look; but the boy's was, "Hmm, ok looks like a lot of people I don't even know all over the world is going to see my face."
Welcome back. Both wrong I think. We were probably the most excitement they've had in a long time. So few people pass through that it felt as though they were genuinely happy to receive visitors.
