Thread Garden

The Boat House is a tacky little carnival created next to the man-made lake in Ooty. We dropped by and Boon managed to buy not one, but two, peacock fans. Imagine the poor peacock strutting semi-naked now somewhere in the Nilgiris foothills.

However, we did discover this little interesting exhibit across the road. Every flower and every blade of grass here is made from thread that's been carefully wrapped around some cardboard. This particular creation on sale apparently took two and a half weeks to make.
