I moved in to a brand new apartment on April Fool's day. How auspicious is that? The apartment really wasn't ready but I took a chance since my previous lease had expired and I really didn't want to extend it any more. Besides, the new apartment will be stunning when it's done.
I actually slept in a construction site the first couple of days. There's dust everywhere so I was reluctant to change to new sheets. On the third day, I had airconditioning, so I thought things were looking up.
Lo and behold, two days ago, spotted the puddle just inside my bedroom door. Bubbles were forming under the paint. The builders are working on it but have yet to locate the source of the leak. This morning, the puddle became a pond and I started looking for tadpoles. And it's ruining even more walls. They need to fix this fast. Dreading the dust when they redo the walls...
...the saga will continue

Where's your new place?
Oh no....I can just imagine renovation works in INDIA :P
Walking distance from Chris & Marge.
Imagine the worst and you feel better when it's not that bad.
Nothing I can do about it. So just chill
but you have lived in worse living conditions elsewhere.. so this should be nothing right?
LM: Absolutely no prob actually. That's why everyone's wondering why I can still smile. It's all relative.
Interesting... are you studying the possibility of spontaneous generation by looing for tadpoles in an enclosed space?
Hee...hee... my first comment on your blog. Sorry. I tried to type a comment at HK but the computer time out on me...
Looing? What is that? LOL. Thx for the visit.
Good news! The leak has been stopped. Now just have to wait for the walls to dry out and new paint etc...
Oh my! Where I live, one small water leak can turn into deadly mold around here. With your heat, you should be okay. I hope they fix it soon and find the source.
Glad you're enjoying your new apartment. :D
Oo, why don't u rear some koi and put some lilies to accompany the tadpoles... Oops, I missed the point, didn't I? Ha ha ha.
Annie: Thanks. They have actually fixed the leak. Now just have to patiently wait till all the dampness in the walls dry out. So tempted to use a hairdryer to help it on its way...
Jonzz: I was actually thinking about some tropical fishes. I actually visited someone's home once where they actually had a well in the living room.
Beng knows her stuff. I think she means that if you pee in the puddle, tadpoles will come.
Our neighour renovated recently and parts of our room look just like your pictures. Strange thing is, after a while, you don't notice the defects any more. But we are going to fix them up soon.
Yup, I know exactly what Boon means. There's a damp mark that is growing below my aircon in my room and I'm trying to ignore it. Too lazy to do anything abt it. Hopefully it'll hold until the ac breaks down completely, my ac falls off or I sell my flat! (whichever comes first)
