Saturday was also Amrita's birthday. As she only a quiet celebration, Sonam organised this small gathering at the Cosmo Village Boutique Lounge.

However, small and quiet doesn't mean simple. Pat had pulled out all the stops on the menu. The evening started by the first floor bar with champagne and strawberries & cream. Assorted starters were brought out but my favourite was the crab cake served in it's shell.

We then adjourned to the second floor where a long table had been laid out especially for us.
Woon sen was served immediately. This was followed by an exquisite
thom yam that was laden with seafood, which enriched the broth trememdously. Then came the
phad thai. We were next served an excellent green curry with
romali roti, an interesting combination indeed. Dessert was cut fruits with ice cream.

It was almost a black and white party, even though no theme had been decided on. But we could always count on Sari and Pat to add some colour to the night. Cosmo must have assigned half the staff to attend to our party as our glasses were being filled continuously.
But what would a night out in Bangalore be without a little visit from our friendly neighbourhood police. We had to call it a night round midnight.

However, all was not lost as some of us adjourned to Sari's. The weather at night is still perfect and so her terrace was the ideal place to wind down the party.
