Vanilla Pod was the first stop with Mag, Hweeb, Su and Boon. There was a wedding reception there that night. So we were relegated to the outdoor area. Which was not a bad thing. Ambience was great. Sitting right next to the orchid garden which was brightly lit. But the tables could certainly have been a little larger.
I think we expected more from the food. It was good but I think more ccould have been made from the use of orchids in the cuisine. I feel even more strongly about this after my Korean visit where the 'flower rice' was an epicurean delight.
Mag's new shoes provided some distraction in between courses. Apparently, Queensway Shopping Center has the best bargains in town.
