Thomas offered to host the National Day gathering at his place. It's probably the last party to be held at his flat in Bangalore. Countdown to his departure? 8 days.
He managed to gather most of the Singaporeans who are in Bangalore at the moment. Robert came with his family and Chris with a colleague from SQ, Connie.

Menu had to be authentically Singaporean to make this day count. Chicken was a perfect choice.
Kudos to the chef! Chicken was succulent and done just right. But four birds served on a platter caused Thomas himself to remark that it was like a 'lun zong gong' or something like that. Ask Thomas what he meant. I think he now fancies that he might be able to open a chicken rice store somewhere.
The soup was good too, with the preserved vegetable and tomatoes added a nice taste to it. Credit for the rice will have to go to Prima Deli though... There were also woh-tips from Chung Wah as starters.

Of course there were candles on the cake followed by a rousing rendition of 'Majulah Singapura' to mark to occassion. There were no fireworks or parades but Singapore's 41st birthday was remembered here in Bangalore.

CK, what did you contribute to that feast? Do your friends in Bangalore know you can cook as well as you drink?
Singaporeans eating on National Day?! Haha... It's what I did too!! Talk about National identity.
I haven't cooked for other people in a long long time. Now I only do the drinking
