more like 15 seconds. Of celebrity that is. Thomas decided to make a big deal of the fact that I appeared in the society page of Bangalore Times today, a daily supplement of Time of India.
But Bangalore society is not like that of other cities in India, especially Mumbai and Delhi. It's very small here and as long as you go out regularly, you will meet the same people in the handful of really nice clubs here. And those are the ones that the page 3 photographers cover.
Actually had another couple of appearances but only have one which I kept. It was a pic on the masthead, or was that above it, with Anisha, Armaity and Viraf.

It doesn't hurt if your best friends are the really popular people that get invited to everything. The fact that they look hot of course means that the photographers love them, even if they don't want their picture taken.
I've always said that if you want your picture taken, just stick to a gorgeous woman. And you have to stand so close that they can't crop you out when it goes into print.
It was amazing how many people actually look at this. Almost everyone I met told me that they saw me in the paper.

Had lunch with Anisha and Armaity at Tchi, this new Chinese restaurant that's two minutes' walk from my office. David, who manages the restaurant, was from Hong Kong but left when he was seven. But he still retains his Chinese roots and gave some pretty good recommendations for food. Had the 'squirrel fish' again, a variation of 'ma puo dou fu' and the crispy duck. Overall, the standard of the food was very good. Armaity remarked that if she wans't going back to San Francisco where they have great Chinese food, whe would be so bummed that this restaurant was only opened now.
