Farewell

Thomas and Geena will both be leaving Bangalore for good on 17 Aug. It is not likely that we'll be seeing Geena for a while as she'll be heading off to Nike's headquarters in Oregon. Thomas is joining another company in the same line of work and it is quite likely that he will be required to make frequent visits to India, if not Bangalore. Margaret and the kids will also be leaving for a month. So if we needed any reasons to get together for food, we had several.

This was kinda like Neo's housewarming as well. However, our biggest gift to him and the wife was our appetites. He really did well in whipping up a few Singaporean dishes like laksa and 'ku lou yok'. And the prawn toasts were simply delicious. As usual, Margaret contributed a couple of yummy dishes as well, samosas and cranberry & walnut pie. Geena arrived late but has kuehs from Bengawan Solo.

Thomas did some bartending and made some mojitos. I had already had my fill in the afternoon so was taking it slow. Once again, we overindulged. Loved it.

Thomas wore this t-shirt that Flo had given him a while back. We were just talking about it the other evening. Check it out.

Sensibly, we called it a night early to allow us alone/down time to prepare ourselves for the start of a new week.

Weekends simply disappear too quicky. I guess this is defintely an age thing.
