Coffee Anyone?

A misnomer truly when you see the huge bar the minute you enter. B introduced us to this as as the Japanese Whiskey Bar, which I think is so much more appropriate. I must admit I didn't even check if there was coffee on the menu.

We were looking for somewhere 'AC-cool' to adjourn to after dinner and this was where we ended up. Ambience was pretty good and there was lots of seating and one could actually hear himself think. We were most excited by the crystal and the ice ball; and I must say that was the prettiest fruit platter, just the way the Japanese would serve it.

I didn't take a picture of it but they actually installed one of these fancy toilet seats with all the buttons on the side. You almost feel like you needn't do anything apart from push some buttons when you're done.

I thought we had taken a private jet and flown the entourage to Shinjuku... not quite but it was very different indeed.

OK I'm intrigued by the hand carved ice ball.

It's just a fancy ice cube right? LOL

Yes and no, I think. A sphere has the smallest surface area so I think maybe this takes longer to melt? They also use huge ice cubes in large glasses. Again your drink stays cold much longer. It's great.

LM: Call it ChinkinIn's Kitchen where only virtual food is served. Luckily my food photography is not up to scratch yet. Otherwise, you'd see nothing but.
